UEI Global Education (UEI) and International Management and Sports College (IMSC) are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic collaboration in Hospitality and Tourism Higher & Skill Education. The MoU between the two institutions of excellence will include articulation, student & faculty exchange programme, research & development of new trends & industrial practices, internship and training programmes.

UEI is a joint venture of Berggruen Holdings (USA) and JM Financial. UEI with 20 years of Hospitality & Tourism Education offers various vocational based skills training programmes – which were subsequently integrated into degree programmes in Hospitality and Business Management through various accredited universities across India and Abroad. UEI offers courses that can be split into Traditional Higher Education and Vocational Training. We ensure that the students are getting the best education and learning under the guidelines of experienced teaching staff as well as infrastructure, learning material, training room etc. are of quality standards which are comparable to international standards. We have quite a few articulation and lateral entries with universities in the UK, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland, Netherlands, UAE and others. Founded in 2003, IMSC stands as one of Singapore’s pioneering private educational institutions. It emerged following the privatisation of the education division within the former Singapore Sports Council. IMSC’s academic programmes, with its high focus on providing employability skills, and recognition by renowned universities worldwide, align seamlessly with UEI’s focus in ensuring that its students are well equipped with skills desired by the hospitality industry. This collaboration unlocks transformative pathways for students and elevates both Singapore’s and India’s talent pipeline in hospitality and tourism. This also provides an option for students to either continue their higher studies, or to embark on a rewarding career in the hospitality industry.

The MoU will enable both the institutions to work and upgrade their academic delivery to global standards especially in line with the new implemented trends, global practices and contemporary curriculum. This strategic partnership marks a pivotal step towards bringing the best practices between the two academic institutions of excellence while bridging the gap between hospitality academia in both countries and the industry. The collaboration will also work towards introducing an Integrated Learning Programme designed to enrich the academic journey of our Hospitality & Tourism students in both the countries while making them the Global Citizens.

The articulation agreement between the two institutions will offer multiple benefits to the students enrolled under the autonomous credit based programme. The programme will have course offerings with extensive study and training in India for three month followed by a twelve month duration in Singapore embedded with Certification and paid Internship. The students enrolled in this programme will have a total 9 months of Academic Experience both from Indian and Singapore with a 6 month of Internship or On Job Training (OJT) in Singapore. And, all of the above is at a very affordable fee with a paid internship or OJT allowing the programme offering to be highly subsidised.

Post successful completion of these courses and assessments students will get the certifications from India, Singapore and UK, additionally.
